Potentilla palustris (Marsh Cinquefoil)

30cm, Marsh Cinquefoil is a herbaceous perennial with showy dark blood red flowers above 5-foliate leaves. Native of wet and rich soils alongside streams, in swamps and marshes throughout the northern hemisphere. For any humus rich, always slightly moist soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Ideal for the border of a pond or water course. VI-VIII.
