Silene dioica (Red Catchfly)

20 (40)cm, Red Catchfly is an annual to short-lived perennial with beautiful rose-red flowers above green leaves which are densely covered with short white hairs. Native of moist meadows throughout Eurasia. Easily cultivated in any humus rich, well drained soil in partial shade to full sun. Readily selfsows under appropiate conditions. IV-VI.
