Bellevalia dubia

15 (20)cm, a showy Bellevalia with a bicolored inflorescence: flowers are turning from a bright lilac-blue to pale brownish green on opening and are hold on long pedicles. Its long basal leaves spread on the ground. Native of Italy to former Yugoslavia, Greece and western Turkey, where it occurs in rocky hillsides. Easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. IV-V.
