Amorphophallus laoticus has a very long tuber, and thus it is best planted in a rather deep pot, such as those offered for palms. For any humus rich, very well drained soil in a partially shaded spot. In winter keep dormant corms almost completely dry at a minimum of some 15°C. VI-VII.
