Romulea gigantea

10cm (30cm), despite its name it is not that tallest species in the genus. It bears pale mauve flowers with a pale yellow throat. It is native of coastal areas in the Southern Cape from Kleinmond to Port Alfred where it ocurrs in marshy or seasonally wet places. For any humus rich, yet well drained substrate in a sunny spot.
