Symphyandra (Ring Bellflower)

Ring Bellflowers are native of the Mediterranean region through Asia. It is a small group of biennial to perennial plants with attractive basal rosettes, leafy stems and dense clusters of nodding, white to blue or purple, campanula-like flowers. Excellent in the rock garden, where they will self-sow under good conditions.
Sow on top of any rich, well drained soil with a good portion of coarse sand or grit. Do not cover dust like seeds. Carefully transplant to the open garden as soon as seedlings are large enough to handle.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
