Levisticum (Lovage)

Lovage has been widley used in the kitchen for its' edible, very aromatic, parsley-like leaves. Usually young leaves and shoots are added to soups and stews. Lovage is a tall herbaceous and fully winterhardy perennial from Persia and Asia Minor and easily grown in any rich, fresh, well drained soil in a sunny spot.
Sow seeds flat directly in any well drained, humus-rich soil in a sunny site in the garden in preferably mid spring. Cover seeds only slightly with soil.
