Australian Heaths belong to an almost unknown genus within the heath family (Ericaceae). They are mostly perennial scrambling or trailing subshrubs with pubescent or glabrous, narrow lanceolate to needle-like leaves on thin woody stems and small, usually white to pale rose or yellowish flowers. They are easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter keep plants slightly drier at a minimum of some 15°C. Sow seeds flat at a minimum of some 20°C throughout the year in any very well drained soil. Keep seedlings in full sun and carefully water. 20 seeds per package. |
