Monkey Flowers are native of humus rich, slightly moist soils along side streams and in sunny spot in woods in North America. They grow as annual to semi-perennials and make numerous showy flowers in various colors. All species are easily raised in a rich, well-drained, preferably slightly moits soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. Sow the dustlike seeds flat on any rich, well drained soil. Do not cover seeds with soil and keep pots in a sunny, protected spot outside. Transplant seedlings to the garden as soon as they are strong enough. Under suitable conditions plants will readily self-sow. Ideal for a slightly moist edge at a pond. All are USDA Climate Zone 6. 50 seeds per package.. |
