Platycodon (Chinese Bellflower)

Chinese Bellflower from moist, partially shaded to sunny places in leafy woods in the highlands of E Asia. Perennial rootstock and outstanding long stalks of huge, saucer-shaped bells.
Sow flat in any rich, leafy soil in half-shade in autumn or early spring. Cultivation in pots for minimum two years, transplant fleshy rhizomes in early spring.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
