South African Fairy Bells is a monotypic genus with a single species only which is native to South Africa. It has erect, sword-shaped, iris-like leaves and several small creamy white to pale yellow flowers on branching, slender stems. Grow as a pot plant in any rich, well drained soil under frostfree conditions at a minimum of some 5°C in a sunny spot throughout the year. Sow seeds flat on any rich, well drained soil. Keep pots in a sunny spot at a minimum of some 20°C throughout the year. All are USDA Climate Zone 8/9 unless otherwise specified. 20 seeds per package. |
