Tall Meadow Rue are herbaceous perennials with most ornamental, finely dissected foliage and elegant, feather-like flower heads on tall stalks. Native throughout the northern hemisphere, occurring in humus-rich soils in woods and mountain meadows. For any humus rich, preferably leafy, well drained soil in partial shade to full sun. Seeds require a cooling period of several weeks prior to germination, which starts end of spring the following year of sowing. Transplant dormant rhizomatous roots in late autumn or early spring.
