Lychnis (Catch Fly)

Catch Flies are ornamental perennials with a dense basal leaf rosette and tall, erect flower stalks bearing numerous brilliant flowers in red to purple shades. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Excellent in the rock garden.
Sow flat from autumn to early summer in any well drained soil in full sun. Transplant in summer. If sown in early autumn some may start to flower the following year.
All are USDA Climate Zone 6.
