Canary Shrub Scabiosa are perennial, woody, evergreen, low shrubs with corn-flower like blooms in usually rose to purplish colors. All make excellent pot plants or may be planted freely in the slightly heated alpine house or wintergarden. For any well drained, rather rocky soil in an always sunny spot, keep frostfree in winter at minimum 10°C. Sow seeds flat in any humus rich, well drained, yet slightly moist soil at 15°C to 20°C. Keep seedlings very sunny in their first winter. All are USDA Climate Zone 10 unless otherwise specified. 20 seeds per package. Legal note: In accordance with national German laws (BNatSchG and BArtSchV) as well as European (Bern Convention) international conventions (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora - CITES) we do not sell any wild collected material such as seeds from protected plants. Seeds from protected plants exclusively derives from horticulturally artificially propagated plants in Germany respectively Lebanon only, where plants have been taken into cultivation in the late 70ies and early 80ies of the last century. |
