Scorpionweeds are annual, biannual to short-lived perennial species from North and South America. Several species have showy white to bright blue or lilac blue flowers above nicely dissected leaves. All Phacelia species are much beloved by bees and bumble-bees and are used to enhance soil structure. Easily grown in a any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Under good conditions they may resow themselves in colder climates as well. Sow directly to the ground by the end of spring when the last freezing nights are over. Cover seeds only slightly with soil. All are USDA Climate Zone 9. 20 seeds per package. |
