All make good pot plants in any fertile, humus-rich, slightly sandy to rocky, lime-free soil in a sunny spot throughout the year with a winter minimum of some 10°C and reduced watering. Sow fine seeds flat on top of any rich, sandy soil at some 20°C. Do not cover seeds with soil. Keep pots always moist from beneath and sunny until germination starts, then keep soil drier.
