Paeonia ludlowii (Yellow Tree Peony)

2 (3)m, Yellow Tree Peony is a much sought after, yet rarely offered woody shrub peony with large pure yellow flowers and yellowish green, broadly dissected leaves. It has much larger flowers and broader leaflets than the yellowing flowering form of Paeonia delavayi. It is native of mountain woods in south-eastern Tibet. Easily grown and fully winter hardy in any leafy and rich, yet well drained soil in a sunnyto partially shaded spot. IV-V.
