50 (100)cm, Little Bells is a fast growing, prostrate, almost mat-forming annual with quite large, lavender-blue flower cups with lilac-black streaks inside. It is native of dryish soils in Peru. Easily grown in any rich, well dained soil in a sunny spot. Excellent in the rock garden or in a hanging basket. Sow seeds in any rich, well drained substrate in pots in mid spring at some 20°C. Keep pots in a sunny spot. Transplant seedlings to the final spot in the garden after the last freezing nights by the end of spring to early summer. VI-VIII. |
