5 (10)cm, Columbia River Onion or Robinson's Onion is a rare dwarf bulbous plant with pale rose to almost white flowers with a reddish midrib in a short stalked umbel. Allium robinsonii is native alongside the Columbia River from Washington to northern Oregon, USA, where this species occurs in sand and gravel soils. For any rich, very well drained soil in full sun. Excellent in a protected spot in the rock garden. VI-VII. |
