Penstemon virgatus (Wandbloom Beardtongue)

40 (70)cm, Wandbloom Beardtongue is a middle sized, very showy perennial with upright racemes densely covered with rich lavender flower trumpets with reddish lines. It is native of mountain meadows in the USA. For any rich, well drained, preferably slightly rocky soil in a sunny spot. V-VI.
