120 (180)cm, Hawaiian Cotton or locally called Maʻo is an endemic Gossypium species from Hawaii and virtually unknown in cultivation and threatened due to habitat loss. Gossypium tomentosum is a perennial with semi woody stems, silvery gray leaves and showy pure pale yellow flower cups. For any rich, very well drained substrate in full sun throughout the year. Reduce watering in winter to a minimum and keep plants at a minimum of some 20°C. VI-IX. |
