10 (20)cm, Felty Head Germander is a dwarf, semi-woody, evergreen perennial with narrow, whitish-grey, very aromatic leaves. Suspecies capitatum has an overall mor compact habit and denser terminal whitish-green flower heads in comparison to subspecies polium. It is native of rocky mountain sites throughout the Mediterranean and the Middle East. In the Middle East it has been long used in traditional medicine, yet more recent studies showed a liver and kidney toxicity. Easily cultivated in any rich, very well drained soil in a protected spot and full sun. USDA climate zone 6. VI-IX. 20 seeds per package.
