3 (7)m, Hybrid Service Tree is a naturally ocurring hybrid, which was found the first time in 1773 in the vicinity of the city of Eisenach, Germany. Its' parents are Sorbus aucuparia (European Rowan) and Sorbus aria (Mountain Ash Tree). Makes a tall shrub to small tree with showy clusters of bright orange fruits and broadly feathered leaves, turning bright orange-yellow in autumn. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. V-VI. |
