40 (90)cm, Spotted Horsemint is a herbaceous, sometimes semi-woody perennial with an erect stem with opposite, hairy, lance shaped leaves with an oregano-like aromatic smell, and a terminal raceme with densely packed, small rose to lavender flowers. The leaves have antibacterial and antifungal properties and are used in the preparation of teas. Native of sunny spots in meadows in North America (Vermont to Minnesota, south to Florida, and E Texas and Mexico). For any rich, very well drained, preferably slightly rocky or sandy soil in full sun. III-VII. 30 seeds per package.
